I shan't use the "shiok" word i used last year for 离开地球表面 2007..=p
Hmm actually i didnt buy the ticket this year, coz i was a little disappointed with the concert last year..but upon examining..i think it was because of the location..max pavillion had much more constrains than indoor stadium..=X
Anyway, since barney offered me a ticket (which according to him was because he couldn't find any other people close to the date)..i thought why not give it a try again..hahas..but to be frank i am still quite pissed with him coz he kept reminding me not to bang seh him and yet on thursday night he called to say he himself cant go!! Luckily i got cheeyun to join me in the end..hahas...
Reached at around 645pm..there was a booth outside indoor stadium selling mayday merchandise (as usual)..mostly were T-shirts..all designed by ah xin and some other mayday members..quite ex though..i thought one was really nice, black T-shirt with a dove that looked so real as if it is flying out from the shirt!! =D They wore mostly their self-designed T-shirts in the concert..hahas =)
Our seats were in the 2nd block away from the stage..something like the second inner ring from the stage..this year they had a 四面台, which was something like a normal stage, together with two "runways" extending out from the main stage at the sides, which ran in between the block of platform seats and the innermost ring..and there was also a small stage hanging towards the back of the stadium, such that when the small stage was lowered down, all the four parts can join together forming a rectangular ring and mayday can run around it!!! The people sitting at the inner most ring were super super lucky coz when they went close to the runway, they can actually shake hands with mayday when they run past!!! OMG!! So you can see a row of people stretching out their hands when mayday went onto the runway..hahas! Unfortunately were were separated from the inner most ring by a barrer so we can only stand next to the barrier..=(
Basically when the 1st song 离开地球表面 started, it was already quite high, everybody stood up and cheeyun and me went to the very front of out block..=) They reused the movie last year as a start..which was a little out of my expectation, coz i thought they would use 小太阳 instead..but they added some new things inside, like there were two soldiers who dropped down from the ceiling on a rope..hahas i wonder what the ns people will feel..anw, and the whole stadium was like a battle field with lights flashing and smoke..wow!!
Actually they reused some of the tricks last year, like asking the audience to do the L-O-V-E thingy and the "左手Hey 右手 Hey 双手Hey 完一起跳" thing..hahas..and they have a lot of parts where 怪兽 玛莎 and 石头 jammed their guitars..btw 怪兽 had a "singapore" tatoo on his arm!! Hahas!
When the 1st half of the concerted ended, my voice was already half gone..hahas but totally 爽，and i think i was jumping like mad..hahas =P
Later the small stage was lowered down and mayday went onto the stage to continue their songs..it was 玛莎's birthday yesterday and 阿信 started to sing the birthday song half way through 垃圾车..hahas..and they were joking that since there was no cake, they will cut 冠佑 instead, and 玛莎 was commenting that they shall make 冠佑 lie down and "把蜡烛插起来" and apparently everyone was thinking of something else..so they said they thought singaporeans were supposed to be "单纯" and they realised it was not the case..hahahas..=P
There were some parts that they stopped singing for awhile to let the audience take over, and it was really touching and heart warming...=)There was also this part that 石头 sang a song that he composed for 小石头 named 咿呀呀 and i thought it was really sweet...and 阿信 sang 洋葱!! OMG!! Oh and there was one song that 阿信 went 破音 and it's really cute actually..heh =P
The encore songs were 天使 and 知足 =) Actually the organisers made a abit of let off coz when the small stage was being lowered, the audience can actually see the process and they knew that mayday is going to sing there..and apparently everybody in that block rushed to the connection between the runway and the stage..hahas so the surprise was actually not much of a surprise..but anyway, when the encore started there were already no guards at the barrier between our block and the inner ring and cheeyun and me sneaked into the inner ring, right in front of the small stage..it was really really close to mayday, like they are singing right in front of your face!! OMG!!! And when they walked past the runway, they went so close to the inner ring of people they were singing IN the faces of them..i think those people surely wont be able to fall asleep that night..hahas..and that's when you ask yourself why didnt you book the most ex tickets..muhahas =P
Among all, the most unbelivable thing is that TIO HENG is actually one of the sponsors for the concert!! When they read it out me and cheeyun were like WHAT??? OMG!!! Hahahas =D
There was a small surprise when i was trying to get home after the concert, i waited for a taxi for a full 1 hour!! But guess what?? Just when i was about to cross the road, the bus carrying mayday to their hotel went past the bus stop and mayday waved to us!!! Yeah =D
Super high...
Even though my arms were aching (from the waving) and legs were wobbling (from the jumping) and throat is burning (from the singing/ shouting), im sooo happy!! Hahas =)
五月天 concert = perfect remedy for revitalising brain cells after sitting through two extreme exams in a single day =P
