Was talking to xiaoyuan on wednesday after work at 1145pm, when we brought up the topic about weddings. Maybe it was because of the things i have been going through lately, maybe it was because of the night breeze, maybe it was because of nothing. Just because.
Anyway, my "dream" wedding will be something like this:
I wanna hold a wedding which is very very casual and relaxing, on a beach or somewhere by the sea. Nothing special or extraodinary up to now, but here comes the exciting part: I want everyone to come in Beach Wear, guys in beach shorts and gals in...bikinis?? Hahas anyway anything related to beach or the sea will do, but STRICTLY no gowns or suits or any elegant stuff, they will be gone in the waters anyway. That means i have to send out the invitations at least a few months in advance to allow time for any kind of gym-training or weight-losing projects. Lol.
For the dinner, instead of the 8-10 course meals, i would have something like a bbq party. For convenience sake probably hiring a chef to do the bbqing would be good. Kebabs and pita bread sound good, plus a spread of seafood and lots of fruits. I would probably spend quite some time on the menu part, and choice of champagnes and wines. Maybe a cocktail bar as well.
At night, we will all dance under the stars (if theres any) and crap in the night breeze.
Would prefer to hold the wedding on an sunny island away from Spore, but it cant be too far away as well since nobody will come because of the air tix or ship fares, unless im a zillionare by then. I would love to go to Guam, but Phuket or some island in/near Thailand will be good as well.
Havent really thought of the wedding dress yet, but i would prefer something simple and easy to take on and off, with matching beach wear inside. Something similar for the groom as well, hopefully. Theres no reason why you dont go into the waters if the wedding is held by the sea!
I wonder whythe wedding cake must be a "cake"? Not sure if that is a tradition or not, but i dont mind a multi layered apple pie or a pyramid stacked with sundaes or cream brulee. As long as it taste nice =)
Of course a wedding is not as easy as that, because it is a WEDDING, and my plan will probably not stay the same if im getting married at 30 plus or 40, compared to 20 plus. Well, who knows what will happen.
