This morning we stepped out of our dorm into big splashes of white..It snowed all night!!!
Everywhere was covered in white and they looked so different from yesterday! I heard that it dropped to below 0 degrees last night..no wonder it was so cold when we walked back to our hostel from the employee cafeteria!! It gives me the feeling that im back in china for the winter holidays..hahas..
It was really wierd coz it was supposed to be summer season in the canyon now and yet it snowed..perhaps that was part of the consequences of man's wrong-doings..=X
We also tend to get tired more easily in the canyon, which i think is bcoz of the very high altitude. There was less oxygen and the weather was cold, so muscles use up more oxygen perhaps..oh and the staff told us that having a beer on flat land was equavalent to having three in the canyon!! Hahas =)
Went for breakfast at 830am this morning, had a really nice and big pancake, which according to my friend, tasted like cakes..hahas
After that we proceeded to the human resource office to do some paper work, and also a drug test..they took photos of us to make the IDs and we had to fill in about 20 forms..!! They said we could use another name we like to be placed on the IDs for easy recognition, and i put SKY..actually most people had started calling me that since we reached US..=)
After two days we finally had the chance to go to the grocery stall, which is called the market place...basically it was the one and only convenience stall in the whole canyon and it was supposed to be the biggest stall there..well..hahas..half of it was selling souvenirs, while the other half selled food..
After that we went to Yavapai point for sight seeing, it was soo beautiful and breathtaking!! But strangely the 1st impression we got when we finally stood in front of one of the 7 wonders of the world is that: It was so beautiful that it looked fake!! Hahas =p Nevertheless when you close your eyes and let yourself breathe in the fresh canyon air, you actually feel quite touched..dunno how to describe it, and i believe no camera in the world is able to capture the spectacular panorama of the canyon unless you stand here yourself..=D
Im glad i came..=)
