Have been working at venezia icecream lately, running to and from Bugis and Six Avenue at Bukit Timah. Part time actually, but not quite either. The hours vary a lot and quite confusing sometimes. This week im working on Mon Tue Wed Thur Sun and for 12hr, 5.5hr, 7hr, 12hr and 6hr respectively. Basically when they need you, you have to turn up. Work is quite different at Bugis and at Guthrie (Six Avenue). The shop at Bugis is quite small and they only have icecream, waffles and drinks, while the one at Guthrie has more complicated stuff like pasta and quiche etc. So mainly washing and serving at Guthrie and scooping at Bugis. Work is tiring but enjoyable coz you get to meet so many different customers everyday and alot of interesting things happen.
I have recorded my top 5 funny encounters (to me lah) and wonder how others will feel if they encounter the same people.
Top #5:
"Can i have a cup of Rum and Raisins icecream? WITHOUT THE RAISINS please" or "Can i have a cup of Green tea and Red bean icecream WITHOUT THE RED BEANS?" (P.S i had a really hard time digging!!!)

"Can i have another spoon please? A PINK ONE." (Said by a women in her 30s.)

"Do you have the EXACT ingredients list to each and every ice cream? I want to know what kind of EMULSIFIERS is used." (Ok la this is not very funny, but irritating.)

Said by a caucasian man after making a medium green tea red bean ice cream for him: "Can you do me a favour and help me put this in the MICROWAVE for 10sec? " "You have to watch it carefully." "Dont worry, this is not CANDID CAMERA." (LOL!!!!)

Said by a man in his 50's but looking very normal and after looking at the row of gelato ice creams: "这里有没有 莲藕(Do you have LOTUS here??) " (When he said this i was really like: What the Hell?????)
